  so i was fooled by the witnesses.

  what can i learn from that?

  not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

  Serious question about the Australian RC and the WTBTS.

  i have not been in a position to watch all of the interviews, so i'm sure that i missed a few things.

  here is my question.

  were either elders or ministerial servants accused of sexually abusing children, or were the accused just lowly r&f publishers or bible studies?

  is he likely to be prosecuted in australia for committing perjury by directly lying to the rc?.

  In the UK I think it is only if it affects the outcome of a trial then it might be looked at, otherwise not. So it would have to be some pretty big whoppers.

  since geoffrey jackson's appearance before the australian royal commission on friday there has for some been an expressed feeling of anticlimax.

  it is as though he was given too much latitude to preach, to claim ignorance and to skirt questions.

  more to the point, as much as i myself thought i would never have expected to say this, gj actually came across as likeable and - don't throttle me please!

  Whilst i agree with your points, my understanding is that the RC is only going to be drafting a report and recommendations that will be passed to government, who may choose to implement them "as is" into law or water them down to irrelevance as far as Watchtower is concerned.

  However strong the RCs wishes the next step is putting it into law. I dont know how things are done in Australia and it may be that the RCs findings are "a given" and will be passed into law. We can hope so, but dont bet on it.

  well, i sat through day 1 or the "imitate jesus" convention.

  they released the new brochure for inactive ones.

  while no tomo-esque rants took place, it seems that the official policy is that "inactivity" merits the death sentence.
